Kinja'd!!!

Lots of worldbuilding, which was cool, but not a whole bunch happened, it felt like. 300 pages in, I was wondering when something really major was going to happen. The ending felt like it ahould have been halfway through rather than the ending. I’m not sure I’d recommend it.

I really enjoyed it. I do agree it was a bit slow though.

I found it a lot of a slog at parts. It wasn’t bad, just required a lot of pushing.

I’d tell you why it’s so terrible and why it’s on reading lists, but I’m not up for dealing with the hate comments I’d get for it. Let’s just say that it doesn’t deserve the hype.

That said, the modern TV series is far more believable than the book. The problem is that the series still has too much influence from the writer of the book.

Hype? You know this book was written thirty-two years ago, right? That’s a long ass hype.

A certain set keeps it popular. It would have disappeared into obscurity without their help.
