Now I have to contact the inept dealer in town here and hope to God they don’t screw something else up while they’re fixing this.
My wife’s CX-5 has an open recall for the tailgate struts, too. So, I need to get that done as well.
If we want to get really technical, my S10 has an open recall for the wiper motor. From 1998. I doubt the dealer could even find that part now.

I’m hopeful that I my 6 won’t be apart of this recall as my build date is 12/15 and the recall is only for cars built until 12/9/15. I’ve had no contact with any dealer since purchasing mine so I don’t know if it would be a good or bad experience. I’ll just have to wait and see.

The GM dealer left a nice scratch on my wife’s dash when they replaced our Takata airbag, tried to cover it up with black polish...

My Corolla got a dent in the passenger airbag cover when mine got done. It looks like they pried in the corner to get it out.

I have been going to a dealer that’s about 40 miles away just because I don’t trust the local one at all (there have been many horror stories). But, with my son and work, I just don’t have time to make it over there
Plus, our local dealer is a Ford/Mazda/Lincoln store and about 5% of their total sales is Mazda. So they never stock any parts nor do they know much about them. So, this ought to be a lot of fun. :(

I completely understand not going to the Ford dealer as that combo only made sense when Ford and Mazda shared many components. Fortunately I have 5 or so Mazda dealers within an hour and the one I bought from is a stand alone Mazda dealer with great reviews.
