This is up there with the R63 AMG for rarity.

Priced accordingly because as rare as they are, no one wants one.

Why do Canadian dealers put the model year as the front plate? No American dealers do that; they do the dealer logo instead.

As someone who sells Buick, I can confirm.

Never have I ever seen a Turbo Verano in person.

But is it actually any fun? I doubt it.

Does this mean a Saab 9-5 Turbo was just one of these things?

I’d drive one but rebadge it as an Opel, or maybe throw on Holden badges.

Speaking of Turbos, did you ever get your car back?

Yes! Back and the final part (distronic grille for $250, where they were going to charge me $750) is on its way! She’s even been in to see the new mechanic we’re trying out and they got it to pass emissions for a reasonable price. Turned out to be all vacuum lines. CEL came back on a few days later, but c’est la vie, non? At least the registration is current again.

I have to take it back early next week to get the B Service interval reset and have them seriously assess my brakes, non-ABC suspension components, and wheels and tires. I want all the wobbles, vibrations, clunks, thunks, steering play, and screeches and hums gone by the end of the year. Plus we’re driving it up to Wisconsin next week and I want to make sure a wheel won’t fall off. I just changed my oil today actually, and was shocked to discover my car had grown an oil dipstick tube during the repairs from the accident...did not know I was supposed to have one, thus did not know it was missing...

Mine has been in the shop for the last 2 weeks getting tires and a B service. One of the wheels that I ordered didn’t fit, so we had to wait for another one. I only ordered rear wheels because up until today I (and the dealer) figured that I had 4 front wheels. As it turns out the factory back wheels had been installed on the left side of the car the entire time, so I now have 4 pretty clean back wheels, 2 rear tires, 2 really marked up front wheels and 2 front tires. I’d buy 2 new front wheels and get the wheel issue finally put to rest, but, I also found out that my ABC pump is “on its way out” I was quoted $4000 for that so, I’m going to drive it for a few months and then have the pump replaced this winter. It really pisses me off because I was finally going to start building the car up a little bit, but now I’ve got big repair on the horizon.

Death whine or pressure variations?

Some sort of whine. When I start it in the morning it sounds like I’m holding the car at 2000rpm in neutral. It goes away when I’m driving but comes back when I stop. It doesn’t sound like a pump, I’m thinking it might be a pulsation dampener, but idk. The tech said it was probably the pump, and I’m at 100,000 miles now so the timing makes sense. What do you think?

Pumps go out around 100k and they signal it with the death whine...although mine never did. Mine was fine and then failed catastrophically at the pulley.

Drive it till it fails. You should start getting ABC faults for a failure to maintain pressure unless your pump just implodes like mine did.
