Kinja'd!!!

This might sound weird, but wrapping the shoulders over the harness bar—getting the loops just right, and adjusting for my height/size—was probably my favorite car-related work I’ve done. Something about it is just therapeutic.

Hoping to be ready for snow adventures by early November. Headlights have been replaced by an absolutely phenomenal LED kit (review coming) and snow tires should be going on in a week or two. The lift kit is currently a “maybe” this year. According to user reviews it’s a major pain to install (as in 8+ hours for an experienced mechanic, which I’m not) but those extra three inches of ground clearance would go a long way to making this car unstoppable in the powdery stuff.

Snow tires going on in early October??? That seems wayyyy early unless you live above 7000 feet lol. I know things are different out West, but last year my snow tires went on here in NJ right before Thanksgiving. But I will admit I should have put them on like a week or two prior since I had one REALLY sketchy day where it was rainy and ~40 degrees in the morning and my Miata had trouble not hydroplaning in a straight line going 50.

It’s not ideal, but my rear tires are literally showing their steel belts so I can’t really hold off any longer. Here’s hoping snow comes early!

Haha that makes sense then. You also gotta hope for no 90 degree days to melt the tires. I had a few 75 degree days in Feb this year that made the tires cry for mercy around every turn. Burning rubber smell just from casually driving was entertaining.
