How we doin’? Anyone else working on this fine Saturday? I pulled over for a $7 coffee, and when my shift is over I’m helping my neighbor build another length of his fence.
Also, it hasn’t really sunk in yet that I own a nice car. Still feels like driving it for the first time, every time.

I’m about 15 miles into what turned into a 30 mile bike ride. I haven’t ridden much this summer, and I wanted to go for a nice easy 5 mile ride on the rail trail near me. Whoops!
I’m about 4 miles from lunch right now - a pizzeria I’ve never been to before - in hopes that I undo some of this workout!
I did ride through this though, which was cool:

I just got to work myself. Day hasn’t been particularly good or bad. Autocorrect ruined things with a girl I had been talking to (I think), but my TSX’s short shifter arrived in the mail. So i’ve got that going for me, which is nice.

No work for me, but I did take my little truck on a 50 mile round trip to pick up some new seats for my El Camino. They are from a 1998 Volvo XC70 and they should be loads more comfortable. Hopefully I can get brackets sorted and get them powered up tomorrow.

I just got back from changing & repairing a tire for a friend. Rest of the afternoon will be rebuilding my gravel driveway.
Every time I see your gauge cluster my heart skips a beat. Lexus really did a great job on that car.

Years ago, when I was relatively fresh out of school and bought a “modern” (still over 10 years old) car in order to relegate the fintail to Sunday driver duty, I felt the same about the W126 I picked up. It felt so posh and modern, and was cheap to the point where I thought I had the biggest bargain in the world. It took quite some time for the new to wear off.

Spent the morning hitting up garage sales with my wife. We didn’t see much of anything but I did score a running leaf blower and half gascan of premix for $10 so I was happy.

I was waitlisted a month ago for this weekend’s autocross, and didn’t have the foresight to ask for time off work, just in case. Then a couple of days ago, I found out I got off the waitlist and onto the entry list. Nobody was willing or able to cover my shifts at work, so I’m here at home doing homework too.
Please do post to Oppo about your autocross adventures! So we can all drift vicariously though the experiences you post.

We have a full 50 car entry list for tomorrow. Good turnout because it is a special one off even at a local short track. Then next weekend is the final event of the year at our usual parking lot location. Add in my 21st birthday the weekend after that and I have 3 fun weekends in a row.

Helped my parents move some stuff from childhood home to a place outside of the city. They have lived there 36 years.
I’ll be postingabout it later, but this is the garage / shop. I’m a bit jealous but I know it’s the product of a lot of hard work and a bit of inheritance.
