While visiting the parents for dinner tonight I saw this commercial for the first time and had to rewind it to make sure I heard the last line correctly. At the point it played the 2nd time I died laughing asking my dad “did Mercedes just do that?” What are your thoughts on it?

Personally I’m kind of a fan because it made me laugh. Also t should be mentioned that sentence is also applicable to people sitting in the left lane on the interstate.

On the one hand, I laughed because it shocked me, like it was meant to do. On the other hand, it’s a sign of the times that we’ve become more inured and accepting of crude language and behavior in our daily lives. I don’t think I want my daughter getting used to hearing things like that on TV.

And from Mercedes-Benz, no less. The brand that insisted on calling tail fins “stabilizers”, because the thought of being seen to follow popular fads was too embarrassing to admit. They used to be so classy and reserved, what the hell happened to them?

Mind you, this is the company that would sell you a fluorescent green/yellow super jacked up monster SUV with side pipes that put you eye-to-eye with firemen and allowed you to see if anyone on the freeway was engaging in road head, so I shouldn’t be super surprised.

That’s very true. You see a black S-Class and forget hey make some of the most ridiculous vehicles on the road. Even the AMGs are basically luxury muscle cars. No other reasons.

They’re just words. The funniest part is that us as people have for whatever reason decided some words are worse than other and that the problem, honestly if people weren’t so hell bent on shielding kids from a made up dictionary of words that supposedly are “not to be said” the world would probably move on to something of value
