Yessir. I have the free version of Autodesk Pixlr on my phone and was messing around a bit. I took the picture over Labor Day weekend on Angels Crest, north of LA. I just now got around to posting it on various parts of the interwebs haha

Thank you. Shot on my iPotato. I really want a nice camera as well but I really don’t want to spend the money. I have too many hobbies already and I really can’t think of many situations where I would go out of my way to take pictures. A friend with a nice camera is probably the way to go for me haha

It is hard moving to a new place with no support network. It took me entirely too long to make new friends when I moved to LA. I still don’t have any “car guy” friends. I made most my connections here through running groups and my Cultfit gym. And I went on a few dates with a girl I met on Tinder and stole some of her friend’s BFs. That method is risky though haha

I mean I’ve at least got my sister, but that’s it. I’ve been here 6 months and haven’t made any friends. I’ve tried to go to like cars and coffee, but I don’t talk to anyone so it’s really boring, so I’ve quit trying to go. I tired tinder, didn’t work for me. I’ve just sort of just given up for a little at this point.

It’s tough for sure. Is it possible to hang with your sister and her friends, maybe even meeting friends of friends? I hate to even suggest this but, maybe see if there are any local meetups on the BMW forums. Finding people with one common interest and that leading to other common interests is the only way I know how to make friends. I did a few “meetup” events but they were normally a miss. It still helped me get out of the house and hang out with other people. Even if you don’t talk to these people ever again, it is therapeutic to be around others.

I’ve hung out with her and some of her friends. All of her friends are either married or in long term relationships, so I’m just the odd man out. I also don’t really care for a lot of her friends, so there’s also that. I’ve asked about friends of friends, no luck there. There is a guy who lives in my apartment complex with a Lime Rock M3, but he’s busy with grad school or something like that. I looked for a Georgia Tech Savannah chapter, but it doesn’t look like it’s active. I’ve tired to be social, but nothing has come to fruition.

Maybe pick up a new hobby that requires a class? Being a newbie around a bunch of other newbies is a good start to a conversation. Just keep your head up and try not to get too down. If you do, I suggest a few 8k RPM pulls in the M3 :D

You never had me! His car is super close to mine. No shields, no grill emblem, and stock cavallo on the rear. Those seat covers though... That was a good watch. I need to go for a night drive soon. I need to look into a ceramic coating too. My car is shiny but I don’t think it reflects that well at night.
