Kinja'd!!!

It’s not just a scooter, it’s a FREE scooter!

Some inattentive scooterist (?) left his keys in the ignition. I tracked down security and turned them in before someone decided to go for a joy ride.

I admit, I was tempted to take it around the parking lot....

If stickers add 5 horsepower, what do spiky license plates and giant pin-on American flags add?

The spiky plate frame detracts 35 hp, while the American flag adds 1776 hp if I’m not mistaken.

Also, I’m digging the 740i M Sport.

Good on you for turning in the keys! I’ve forgotten the key to my motorcycle in the ignition a couple of times but only when it was parked inside my house behind a locked door.

It’s the doctors’ parking lot at the local hospital. There are much nicer cars hiding there.

There aren’t any parking stickers, so I hope they can find the owner. The ring also had keys to his house and at least two cars.

That’s a pricey scooter, too!

I don’t know anything about scooters. Are we talking steak or caviar?

You are a true good person. I think if I had a scooter I’d think of it as a faithful pet more than transportation, and if it was stolen I’d be sad. So, logically, this person would have felt the same way. Because reasons.

Probably steak, but pretty good steak. I ride a Taiwanese competitor to that Honda, a Kymco Super 8-150. The Honda you saw would cost me about 2-1/2 times the price on the used market than my Kymco.

Years ago I took my wife to an MSF rider course. She barely made it through the first day and didn’t return for the second. She had issues operating the controls while maintaining her balance. Even on the smallest bike there, she was tip-toed on the pavement. I’ve often wondered if we should have started with a scooter instead.

I’m really bad about leaving my keys in my bike, there were multiple occasions when I left the key hanging in the ignition for a few hours at a time in the middle of campus. I’ve gotten better about taking it out when I’m not home, but I still leave the key in inside the garage all the time.

A scooter really is a better way to start than on an actual motorcycle. Not having to deal with the clutch and shifting makes it sooooo much easier. My wife has wanted to get a scooter as long as I’ve known her. So for her birthday last year, I signed us up for a 5-hour scooter riding class at a local riding school. She had a hard time with the low speed maneuvering, but was able to do it and have fun.

I had so much fun, that I went and bought a scooter and got my motorcycle license. I haven’t gotten her back on one yet. She’s been having trouble with her hands randomly falling asleep. If we can get that handled, I’m going to buy another scooter for her too.
