I must be an outlier then, because I’d put the Tesla down at the bottom of all these cars, with the Vette and the Lexus. That said, I do give Tesla and Musk props for the technological achievement and the performance — it really is something that most people 20 years ago simply would have rejected out of hand as being preposterous.
Even if you limited the field to cars with four or more doors, there are still a number of cars I’d want before getting to Tesla.

No, I’m with you, I’d rather have pretty much all these cars before the Telsa. It’s just an incredible machine. But I’m not giving up my E90 M3 to get one! =)
But there are plenty of car guys that are about pure straight line performance that have become Tesla true believers.
