An Autozam AZ-1!
I don’t know where in Seattle I am, but this guy had a bunch of kei cars and small vans and generally neat old Japanese metal. My wife tells me it may have been East Marginal Way...I’ll have to head over there later. Somebody pulled in with a pea soup green Nissan Micra right after the picture was taken.
I also saw a guy driving around in a RHD Toyota Crown. Seattle is neat.

This would be my top concern. I fit preeeeetty tightly into my Miatas, so I can’t imagine my fat ass fitting in an AZ1. I’d like to give it a try though.

If you’re fat, you might not.... if you’re just somewhat tall, you should be fine... I’m 6'2 and I’m ok. I do look fucking ridiculous getting in and out of it though. Once I’m in, I’m fine.

I know exactly where you were, thanks in part to the partial street sign. Airport Way and Lander Street, near SODO-Moto aka Adam’s Garage. Here’s that very car in their inventory. (Marginal is over by the water and definitely does not have a wooded hillside—the bottom of Beacon Hill, in this case—behind it).
Full disclosure: I almost bought a Benz 190e 2.5-16v from Adam before he opened a dealership, and he was a super nice and dedicated enthusiast of many interesting automobiles. He picked me up from a bus stop in the Cossie for the test drive, then switched cars to an Alpina 5-series with a busted transmission to drop me off. I still sort of regret missing out on that car and keep checking his inventory in hopes that something up my alley will pop up.
