It’s going to be 93 here in Austin today. It will likely be 85 on Halloween. That’s the one thing I’ve always hated about living here. Fall is my favorite season, and we usually skip it and go straight from 85 to ice storm.

I always kinda liked that GM made both the Equinox and the Solstice in the mid-2000s. More cars need to be named for astronomical phenomena.

We’re much more likely to get ice than snow. Winters have been dry and mild the last few years, but we’ve had our share of ice storms. This was the ice on my Golf back in 2007.

Dunno. Haven’t watched any of their games. Did they do much this summer? I thought it was mostly cap related moves that didn’t do much to the quality of the lineup. Still, if Toews can get back on form this year they should be great.
All I’ve picked up from the preseason so far is:
- The Leafs power play is still deadly
- Marincin is still horrific
- DAMN WHERE DO THE SENS FIND THESE GOALIES. Seriously. They SHELLED them with absolutely no results. Reminded me of their first game against Colorado last year where they put up over 50 shots and couldn’t break through Varlamov.
- Canucks have some good prospects. Knights have better ones. And either the Kings are getting a real slow start or they’ve slipped more than I thought. They shouldn’t be having trouble with the Canucks.

I watch hockey, I don’t follow it. So I have no idea what the Hawks are up to. I know they beat CBJ the other day 5-2, so there’s that.
