And it is pretty much the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. The scorpion just stung the praying mantis who then flew into the yard and came back with another mantis. Then the gecko called in reinforcers and like 5 more came down from the eaves of the roof and swarmed one of the mantises. I wish I could stay out here and see how this ends but I need to get to bed.

And this is why I don’t live wherever it is that you live. I had the door out to the deck standing open this evening for three hours, no screen. Number of critters that came in to the house? Zero. No gnats, flies or mosquitoes.

I don’t know if the scorpion actually got him. He ran up to the mantis and stabbed with the tail, but the mantis might have taken off before actually getting hit. It was a close call and I was just watching with a flashlight so it was hard to tell for sure. The scorpion definitely tried to sting though.

I thought about taking out the scorpion just to keep it out of the house, but it didn’t really seem to interested in heading towards the door so I just left it alone.

So... I’m assuming gecko. In the morning there was no scorpion and only one mantis so either the gecko at two or just pushed them back but I’m gonna say he won.
