Probably a Canadian import? A UN car would have diplomatic plates.

Occasionally i have seen Canadian cars with American plates.

That looks like an older Peugeot logo so I guess someone just got bored of their Buick. While typing this, I got where ERAN comes from, he took off the V and O in VERANO.

The Buick Verano is a rebadged (and slightly Americanized) Opel Astra from the previous generation. PSA (Peugeot/Citroen) recently acquired Opel from GM. So, from that perspective, it can almost be seen as a Peugeot.

This looks like the 1950 logo though.

It is a Buick, so that is just somebody with a weird sense of humour...probably stuck the badge on for fun, and you can tell the Eran letters are not quite straight and are all part of the name Verano, which is what that Buick is...
