Honda V-twin cruiser. Nice upright riding position. Good sound, but not super loud. Doesn’t vibrate crazily like a Harley. Dual sport tires. I’d rock it.

Not required in Illinois, but I never ride without one.

That’s true, most people without helmets on motorbikes end up fucked.

That is very true. I would ride a bicycle with no helmet if just cruising around town. But a motorcycle gets full gear whether it is 12 or 110 degrees out.

My mom bought me a bike helmet when I was 8. So, nearly 30 years ago now. Upon seeing me wearing it, my dad grimaced and exclaimed, “Don’t make him wear that! He looks like a ____!”
I’ll let you fill in that blank with whatever.

I wore a helmet till middle school, then it was “uncool”. Never had an issue thank goodness.

Foam hats aren’t all that effective, especially if the impact is at higher speeds. I’ll still wear one if I’m doing something stupid (or riding a bike I’m not familiar with), but otherwise, nah.
Actual helmets are effective, but you wouldn’t want to cycle with one on.

Well, now I know what kind of bike it is. All I knew was Honda, and only because the seat said so :)

Me neither. And I swear I made it my job to crash. I did bust my left collar bone in half though, when I was 12.

I think yes, but I suck at IDing bikes. I only knew it was a Honda, because it said so on the seat.

Probably right, this bike wasn’t particularly big. Which I like. I’m a big dude, 6' tall and north of 350 usually. But I’m built like a weeble, with really short legs (28" inseam), so really big bikes don’t appeal to me.
