This is me procrastinating and avoiding getting back on the road. The set up holds a tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, pillow, extra fuel, extra shoes, and 5 days worth of clothes. And is surprisingly comfortable still.

Very cool. But you need to make a rack for that thing!

Totally worth it. Even shivering my ass off, wet, in a middle of nowhere diner. Totally worth it.

Meh. Eventually. Next efforts will be towards proper rain gear.

Hey, I got a hammock, compact sleeping bag, water, food, 3 days of clothes, fuel, and a big freaking knife on her. Total touring machine!

With what like a 75 mile range? Oh wait, that’s what my Harley had!

Start taking baby steps in that direction. Whatever those steps may be.

Oh please, she’ll do 120 on a tank, and I can easily pack enough fuel for an additional 120!

Holy crap! That’s impressive. And it takes maybe 3 hours to go that 120 miles?

I guess it’s a bit more critical in an offroad bike.. But putting everything on the tail just lightens up the front end so much that steering my bike off-road takes a bit more concentration.... I was stoked to get a proper rack to get the bike balanced again........
But yeah, being cold and wet totally sucks....

Paradise campground near McKenzie bridge, Oregon, and ochoco divide campground a few hours east of that. Do it!

Can’t tell a difference in handling. Trail pack is maybe 30lbs. Which is way less than a passenger, and this bike is excellent at 2 up.

Well that’s good. Like I said, perhaps only important on offroad stuff... I did a few roadtrips with my stuff just strapped to the tail.. and offroad, up steep stitchbacks, I would lose a lot of the front end steering traction.....
By the way, dope bike!

Yeah that makes sense for steep off-road climbs. Don’t think I’ll try anything like that with this bike!
Thanks!
