Who needs a gear indicator? I can count just fine thank you very much. And I wasn’t even on the bike yet, kickstand could definitely stay down.

I might forget my count when saving my life by dodging the lowest common denominator garbage on the road in suburban Seattle. I understand Portlandia might not be as dense yet :) Some bikes have them, so I am not the only one.
For ice, get some of those spiked tires, problem solved:

Portland definitely isn’t as bad as Seattle. Yet. Frankly I’m surprised it didn’t have a gear indicator. Most other Ducatis have them. Oh well.
This is considered a high end bike, right? Well, maybe it should come with automatically extending ice spikes!

I always plan to, always get fed up and swap back to a car after a few weeks due to being cold or wet. After talking to a bunch of coworkers who did alaska last year, think I’m going to pick up an aerostitch and some heated grips. That should be all I need to extend the riding season until we get snowstorms again :/

Yeah I think that would do it. I’ve got enough on I’m not really feeling the wind so much, but the rain has made it into socks and gloves. I’ve got extras of each, so not the end of the world, but still not pleasant. Maybe some klm gear? Don’t know how that compares in quality, price, or effectiveness to a roadcrafter, but it might be worth a look.

I remember being told the current Hypermotard would have them. That’s a bike I like a lot, but the traffic/driver situation here kills my desire to go out on public roads 99% of the time.
I bet there’s a market for extending spikes, get to work on it, could be a fortune in the making. That or a bankruptcy :)

Yeah, probably solid too, I just know I want one single suit to handle both rain protection and warmth, don’t like all the time it takes to layer up before riding and take everything back off at the destination with my current setup (waterproof top layer, separate warm layer underneath)
