It looked lame. When I see a car like this it usually has an out of state plate on the Golden Gate Bridge with tourists, because nobody here buys them. I saw a Buick something the other day with Texas plates.

My 71' was on Craigslist and the old guy in Santa Cruz didn’t advertise it in any other city, if he had posted it in San Jose some JDM kid would have grabbed it I bet. I said I will be there in the morning, drove down with someone. It was in a shed for a few years.

The Chevy Trax was developed for other markets and came out overseas in 2012. GM decided to sell its platform-mate the Opel Mokka rebadged Buick Encore in the US starting in 2013 as an experiment and people bought them so they brought the Trax over to the US too atthe very end of 2014. I think they move 60-70k per year but it’s a hard sell in a showroom where the much larger Equinox is only $2500 more and against competition like the Juke that starts at $3k less or the Crosstrek and HR-V that are packaged a lot better with more useable space inside.
