If I’ve learned anything from driving a yellow Jeep, it’s that teenage girls love them (and I don’t mean for that to sound creepy, even though I’m fully aware it does). The Jeep and my Abarth always sparked automotive conversations with teenage girls (I work with teenage girls, so once again this is meant in a completely non creepy way).
Who’d have thought that a boxy, dangerous vehicle with piss poor ride quality would be so appealing to young women?

Yeah all she wants me to buy is a Wrangler in a bright color. I think they’ve been popular with girls for a long time. When I was in high school around, they were. I knew plenty of girls who only wanted a Jeep. One of my female friends got a base red X soft top as a graduation gift (2002) and it was quite the event.

I don’t know what it is with teenage girls and Jeeps. My daughter just told me that every girl she knows wants one. Some friends of our bought a jeep for their son. It has a small lift, big tires, and rides like you would expect. Both of my kids hated riding in it. I’m OK with that.

Actually the Renegade with roof panels that come off might make a nice compromise. I actually don’t hate the idea of a beater Wrangler. I’d just rather have a Miata first.

Oooh, yellow’s a rare color for a Miata! That looks like it’s either an ‘02 Special Edition blazing yellow (metallic yellow) or a rare special order vivid yellow (gloss, not metallic, same color as the ‘91 Sunburst Yellow).
