Just picked her up and have added about 100 km with another hundred to go until home. 07 with just 5k km on the clock. It feels good to have a fast bike again.

I loved my 2013 R, but absolutely could not ride it with the stock clip-ons. I installed a set of Apex MFG GP clip-ons, and it made the bike a lot more comfortable.(brought the reach in quite a bit)

It feels a lot different than my ZX-6R did but I’m still adjusting. Turn in characteristics are kinda strange in the sense that it requires commitment, otherwise it hops you out of the turn. Maybe it’s suspension settings but the previous rider was similar in height and weight to me. What happened with your R?

Could just be the tires causing weird handling. My R felt super weird with Dunlop Q3s compared to the Supercorsas. The Q3s became much better at the end of their life though.
As much as I loved the Daytona, I missed my Speed Triple, so I traded it in for a 2013 Speed Triple R. I rode all the new 160+ hp naked bikes, but the Speedy is the sweet spot on the road. Just doing a slip on exhaust drops 20 pounds too haha.

Nice! Although when I rode a friend’s Daytona it was surprisingly uncomfortable compared to my cbr600rr I had at the time.

I’ve had some seat time in all the Japanese supersports and the Daytona manages to feel more aggressive and committed than them. Personally I won’t call it uncomfortable... Maybe that makes me a masochist.
