Kinja'd!!!

Pictures show the difference between the new Renault Wind alloys and the poverty caps. They had to come back off because they rub the struts, 20mm spacers are on order. They’ll be a huge improvement though.

Man, that makes a huge difference! What type of tyres are you putting on? Full or Semi slicks?...:p

Haha I’m running with what they came with for now (two continentals and two “mohawks”). I do plan to change to better tyres in future though.

Thanks, the best renault alloys I could find in a sensible size and price.

Thanks!

The Wind is a cool little car, it’s just a shame they were so much heavier than the Twingo (about 200kgs more).

Thanks. It’s been a great little car, I thought about making a change but I couldn’t bring myself to get rid of it.

Looks good. What’s the difference in weight old vs new? You should throw them on a scale.

Haven’t weighed them yet, but the alloys feel heavier, although not by much. Adding the spacers will probably mean they’re a fair bit heavier than the old steelie set up.

Even with an extra bit of heft it’ll be worth it for the increase in rubber. Some alloys are surprisingly heavy. I bought some old 350z rims for my Maxima years ago and they weighed a ton.

Yeah I mainly bought them for the extra grip and the reduced sidewalls to stop it rolling so much. Some wheel designs are shockingly heavy.
