But it’s FWD, and SOOO GM. A 1985 Cavalier wagon, with a V6 and manual trans. It’s actually pretty fancy for its day too. It’s even got factory cruise control!

Kinja'd!!!

The original 2.0l 4 pot was swapped out for a later model 3.1.

I really dig these wheels.

Kinja'd!!!

It has this badge on the interior, seller says the F41 package is a sport suspension package.

Kinja'd!!!

The seller even has the original window sticker, no mention of an F41 package though.

Kinja'd!!!

And the entry fee for this glorious 80s classic? Only 1400 bucks! And you know what, I bet it would be a fun, handy little daily for the money.

I had an 83 Cavalier Wagon, which was a hand-me down and my first ride in college. It was a 4 banger auto, but surprisingly peppy and was a great surf vehicle as well.

It wasn’t without it’s faults and it’s overall ownership probably pushed my family to driving Fords (combined with the positive experience with a Ford Ranger which we still have today), but I would love to still own this car. Though this is probably one of the hardest cars to still find driving around, no one fixes them when they break.

There is one two tone white and teal first gen Cavalier Wagon owned by an older guy in my town, but it’s the only one I’ve seen in a long time.

Remember the Liberty Eurosport? GM wanted its cars to seem anything but American. “We’re hip, we can be fun and economical!”
