Kinja'd!!!

So Oliver’s brother Archie came to live with us recently while my sister and brother-in-law move. If you can’t tell which is which, don’t worry, neither can any of us.

I had an long-hair orange tabby many years ago. Big cat. His name was Zagnut after my favorite candy bar. He was a cool.

That’s awesome!

I’m currently curious about this orange cat. It comes to visit from time to time. The fact that it came up to the back door, bold as ya please, is really interesting. The deck is elevated. There’s a staircase from the ground up to the morning room door. Jasper had little to no reaction to this incursion.

Cats are funny

Guessing Su is thrilled at this new development.

Yeah, that kind of behavior isn’t common.

There’s a big orange tabby that comes and naps in our back yard pretty regularly. He’s dirty like a stray, but fat like a house cat. I kind of want to go befriend him at some point.

Yeah… she was just getting used to Ollie and now there are two of them. She generally just keeps her distance, but there’s been a little hissing going on from time to time.

Hahahaha! Maybe he’s a stray that makes some rounds in your area and is well fed by your neighbors. Cats are not dumb. There’s an orange stray with no tail that hangs out by my local gas station. People feed him and pet him all of the time. It’s funny.

You can’t tell them apart because they aren’t ‘apart’. It’s the same cat using time travel to play a trick on all of you. He gets double the treats/love/care for his trouble.

You’re lucky that’s all there is. We gave away our litter of kittens, and when one of them found his way back as an adult, Scooby attacked him.

They’re so fluffy!

My wife used to have a big poofy orange cat, who was missing a hind leg. She named him Stumpy. He was a good kitty.

Cats are very territorial. Some more so than others. Shame. They could stand to learn something from dogs .

What’s funny is, the old black tuxedo cat i have tolerates the kittens more than momcat does, despite her the last 10 years having lived by the “beat up first, ask later”... Momcat is a bit... special tho. She came here as an adult and started eating our leftovers we put out, which resulted in quite a few colds evenings spent trying to lure/tame her. She’s defo been a housecat before, but might’ve been dropped off at the nearby rest-stop. Which i kinda understand if it was a family with kids, because her mood changes superfast, from the “i’m purring because you pet me on your lap” to “fuck you, here’s a set of claws to your face”...

All my animals were from the side of the road growing up. They were usually pretty chill, though. Sounds like yours has some “issues”. Oh well, we love our animals just the same.

Luckily for the lady and I, our two orange cats are identical except Diesel has white feet and Milos has orange.
