When I was selling my Montego to get a Capri or Mustang for RallyX I had a guy trying to shove an S10 pickup V8 conversion my way. I told him, sorry that’s not what I”m looking for. He was like - well why not? My truck is great you can trade it for a Mustang easily.
My response was feel free to let me know when you’ve traded it for a Mustang. I’ll trade you then.
He was not pleased.

Yep. Had something happen when I was selling some wheels and tires and offered to trade for some tools. A guy offered a low spec HP laptop and said “Well this laptop will easily be tradeable for tools! Easier than your wheels!” my response was if it was so easy to do then even he could do it, and to write back when he had some.

God I hate private selling a car. Just wrapping up selling my IS300. Apparently since I bought it, the market went super cold. A bunch of price drops later, and a ton of “hey man, are you interested in this Altima”s later, I finally sold it.

Yeah, I originally had it at 17k. But now it’s below CarMax price; plus it needs a new door passive entry sensor ($400). There’s not a big market for these sadly.
