At Silver Lake Sand Dunes last week with our jeep and a group of friends. We spot a mammoth tubular frame 15 ft high (to the roof) truck, that from looks alone had 6 figures of money invested into the build. And then I noticed the wheels.....

Oh man.
My dad goes to Defcon every year, and gets a tattoo each time. Previously he got the above tattoo’d on his calf with a gorgeous wood cross behind it, except he had them spell “too” instead of “to”. I pointed out the tattoo looked great, and how kind it was for them to throw in an extra “o” for free, and he swore up and down that it was correct and I was wrong and blah blah blah.
I bet nothing hurt worse than getting the dumbest I-told-you-so fixed and paying for it a year later.

I could be wrong, but if I’m not mistaken those tires are referred to as Ling Long’s (at least that is what I’ve heard them as). They’re a unique size that some of the mega truck guys like for the bigger ones.

After just getting a peek at the frame on this truck, it shouldn’t come as any surprise the owner can’t spell. I can’t imagine it looks any better when getting a full view of the truck either.

They may not spell, or write, but boy can they swim, the webbing between their toes really helps to propel them through the water.
But then again who will they text or write to that would know they are spelling words incorrectly.
Also, maybe they’ve got it right being a redneck cousin f***er, at least your more likely to get on with the in-laws. Family get togethers after marriage are the same as the ones before marriage.

Credit where it’s due, the structural part of the frame and chassis looked very well done. Everything was painted/powder coated nicely, little to no rust.

It might be painted/powder coated but it doesn’t look well done. Lot of excess tubing just triangled everywhere haphazardly. Meanwhile the shock mount looks like it was an afterthought and just slapped on there.

I agree there’s a lot of overkill and excess material. But it’s 100x better than most home built vehicles we see out there.
