Being stationary vs traveling 10-20 mph backwards doesn’t make a huge difference when you are rear ended by someone doing 70+. If you are going to be stupid you might as well be fast stupid.

Phoenix just started to install wrong way driver sensors on a few of our freeways. They caught two people the first Sunday morning they were operation. One guy was found by Highway Patrol just sitting on the shoulder facing the opposite direction.
