I’m pretty sure I glimpsed a Pagani on the Champs Elysees but I was busy eating a sandwhich.

Hon hon hon.

Did you find the Maybach underwhelming and disappointing IRL? That was my reaction the one time I saw one.

Just returned from France Saturday.

Was AMAZED at how frequently the cool stuff was debadged. My gut tells me it somewhere around 80% of the “cool stuff” had nothing beyond a brand logo.

I’ve been told and I have seen it a bit in Portugal that debadging cars in general is a bit of a European trend, some very interesting spots here, thanks/merci for sharing, hon hon hon.

Very strange. I saw that vid on Jalopnik a while back, it seems that historically the English have been obsessed with what a little badge says about the quality of a man. Maybe this is some sort of reaction to that...

Many of these are available in Australia, but rarer.

Not Twingos.

Really? I was in France too, but I didn’t really notice it aside from the M5!

I took like 5o Twingo photos. 20 or so are selfies. This isn’t even scratching the surface.

Eh. I wasn’t expecting much. I have seen one once before. But yeah it’s pretty much just a two-tone S-class. It’s got nothing on the sheer size of a Phantom. Even the smaller Wraiths are far more interesting.

And that’s probably why nobody wanted them.

I’m not entirely sure, but I believe it has something to do with not wanting to show off too much. Depending on the context a flashy expensive car can have a negative effect on your image.

If my bookkeeper drives an M5 i’ll probably think I’m overpaying him. Also, the ‘look at me, I’m so successful’ attitude is frowned upon much more on this side of the big pond.
