At the beginning, it was all VIP JDM CAMBER YO. But the lifestyle takes a toll. The endless criticism. “lol, you’re just a pretend wannabe racer, why don’t cha play with real race cars instead of posing?”
So you do that. Participating in small events with low cost cup-style race cars. You have fun. You also learn a few things. Like how real race cars don’t do the extreme camber (yo) because that ruins the contact patch, how holes in your brake discs just slightly reduce their surface area making them less effective, how big wings and ground effects aren’t necessary for low speed grip on an already lightweight car, and how being an inch off the ground works when the road is maintained like a billiards table and a little height is needed everywhere they aren’t. You’ve learned much. Too much. The VIP lifestyle makes no sense to you now. There can be no going back.
So at the end, approaching middle age with a family to care for and a career to manage, you conside a slightly quick-but far more mature - buick and move away from the race car style entirely.
