When our supplier sends us a box of products we might be interested in selling.

Kinja'd!!!

Today it was huge box of bread samples. It had about 20 different breads in it, one each of this companys bread product. The owner was not interested in selling it, but let staff take it home instead of wasting it. I snagged a traditional French baguette. There was also a Ciabatta baguette that looked good. I really like it, but it does not suit our style of food at work.

Slice the baguette into rounds and arrange on a baking tray. Drizzle with olive oil mixed with dry basil, parsley, and sundried tomatoes. Bake at 450 for 6 minutes, not more. Serve.

We do smoked meat, & other various smoked food. I already have breads (Sour Dough for sandwiches, Ciabetta for sliders/kids meals, Brioche for sandwiches too) for our products that we have been using for years. The owner/chef did not feel their products fit in the menu well.

I butter one side, grill it butter side down, on plate put it butter side up with meat & cheese on top.

That works, but butter less easy to manage than olive oil. But bread in the oven for a few minutes works almost any way you do it.

I keep butter in the freezer and an extra Fairway EVOO in our pantry, but sometimes you run out of critical things ...

You might like: Slice, butter, goat cheese ( I have absolutely no idea if that’s a thing in the US), just a dab of honey, and then bake it as needed to get the bread crusty and the cheese slightly melting.

Goat cheese in fridge right now ... Fairway sells a tube of it for $3.99. Great on a salad.

Will try your recipe.
