$5000 seems reasonable.

Clearly a JDM Freestar. Very rare!

I could see another rural mail carrier buying it, which has to be about the only market. Though, a Freestar seems an odd choice, the one where I used to work used a 1st gen CRV, which was certainly more durable.

How “invasive” are these conversions? Seems like you’d attract more buyers by putting it back in stock configuration, and then you could sell the kit separately.

Obviously, there are going to be a bunch of ugly bolt holes left over, and it looks like this one has a brace running through a hole in the console too. And the original steering wheel would have to be put back on where that pulley is, but that shouldn’t be too difficult...

Then again, by keeping the kit installed, I guess you’re maintaining its value as a specially-equipped vehicle. So, I dunno. I’m really not sure what the better way to sell would be.

Oh hey, another Indy Oppo.

That’s a crazy conversion, but it would be useful for a rural mail carrier. That’s literally the only person it’d ever be useful for, though. I would have probably started with something a little better, like a Sienna or Odyssey at the very least, if they wanted a minivan.

I think I’d just leave it on and mention I’d convert it back for free if the buyer desired.

Mostly just because I’m lazy and would be hoping another mail carrier bought it.

I’m just curious why you’d do this instead of just buying a used LLV. Or importing something cheap. You can even see the speedometer!

Definitely. At 5 kilo bucks there should’ve been something cheap to import from somewhere, too. I feel like that would’ve been easier.

I actually considered a Freestar for a tow vehicle before getting the Uplander. They had 4 liter engines but I just didn’t trust fomoco engineering. Anyway, I all the sudden realize I haven’t seen one in years. Anybody had any experience with Freestars?
