Yeah. We won the Ivy League my sophomore year, but that was an aberration.

Wife was bummed, but she enjoyed the game. It was a good one. She’s a good fan. Supports her team, but gives credit where it’s due.

Yeah, Illinois had some good teams while I was there too, but that was approximately one million years ago I think.

Good that she can take it in stride- I know a few people who can’t take losses in stride — at all. Coincidentally, they’re mostly Packer fans-

The sad part is that these people ate family members. They’re miserable to be around regardless of the outcome of the Packer game, but otherwise reasonably sane people.

On an unrelated note, Svend introduced me to the Godfather - 2 pts whiskey, 1 pt amaretto and a bit of ice. Freaking outstanding. I’m using Bourbon.

Just drove past Sun Devil stadium. What a clusterfuck. I say we start paying research department heads what we pay college football coaches. We can televise studies and sell tickets to labs. Colleges can fight to recruit the best AP students from around the country. We’ll cure cancer in a month.

At least there are still a few schools that insist their players get a,decent education with those scholarships. Ah well. I just hope that a little of that football money somehow filters down to us lab rats.

We live right near the Cotton Bowl. On game days, we just stay home and out of the fray.
