I get it now. RWD, N/A, good balance, 6 Cylinder soundtrack. Even the automatic can’t dumb it down enough. Got the BMW bug hard.

I didn’t love my 128i because of the auto. I’d always take the M3, even if I was going to sit in traffic. Now with the manual 3, there are times I struggle with which keys to grab.

IF an E90 with a manuals comes up I will make the change no doubt. Currently there are 0, so I see that happening in a loooong time.

I understand. I saw a Mexican plated e90 m-sport near where I live a few weeks ago, I don’t know why I didn’t take a picture, and it was an auto.

A manual was key for me, I’m just glad I could find one.

Yup. When I first drove an E9X 3 series I was like “How good can it be?” Was totally blown away and now have one. The steering and balance are awesome, especially on the sport/M-Sport ones with the better suspension tune and stiffer hydraulic steering.

Mines an auto but it at least has the M-sport package with a way better transmission tune and some nice, proper paddles on the wheel. I’ll probably make the switch to a manual car in a year or two. Maybe a post-LCI 135i M sport convertibe 6-speed or something.

I loved, to varying degrees and with many asterices, both of my E60s (07 550, 09 535 with the twin turbo). Shit always broke. But, man. They were so good.

I am still blown away how even this base engine can make the rear wiggle and the chassis dance.

335i LCI is a must step-up for me at this point.
