Looks like PSA got caught this time , and got caught trying to hide their defeat device, too.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I guess they bought Opel and access to GM’s electric and electrified technology in the nick of time...

Hopefully they’re hit with a massive fine. Money is a corporation’s only language after all.

We should probably start keeping track of who’s not getting in trouble over diesel engines. The lists are shorter that way.

Exactly. I saw an extensive test about real world emissions of Euro 5 and 6 diesel cars recently. I believe they tested about 150 different models. There was only a tiny percentage that didn’t grossly exceed the legal maximum. PSA actually did slightly better than average. As in: very far over the limit, but slightly less than the average competition.

I should’ve posted that test here. I’ll look for it.

So, I’m confident PSA cheated. But I’m also confident 90+% of the competition did the same. Mazda, Renault, BMW, GM, Ford, Hyundai, all of them. That doesn’t make it better, it does mean we shouldn’t single out individual manufacturers but should target all the cheaters.
