I was searching for something on Oppo, and I came across this site. They linked to related posts I wrote for This Date in Aviation History. The entire main article looks like nothing more than a copy/paste of Wikipedia.

I’ve seen this before - which is to say, a whole-article reframe/copy-paste. I seem to recall that it’s explicitly okay - something about the open content licensing on Wikipedia and how it works, but I don’t remember the details.

I did something similar on Oppo a couple of years ago, copying an entire news story with a link at the bottom. The author contacted Jalopnik (we were still attached to them) and complained. Hardigree actually went to bat for me.

Yep. Much easier scenario with Wikipedia - all the reuse rules are spelled out.
