Did you burn through it, or did it get a puncture? Pirellis?

Goodyear actually. Second tire in 6 months.

A puncture or slow leak, which I’m guessing was ignored for too long, because the tread is now separating.

It’s not my car. It’s hard for me to keep an eye on it because I rarely drive it.

Yes they do. Tire guy convinced me I’d like them. I didn’t. Did come in handy when I picked up a nail and was able to get where I was going. I plugged it and it held till it was time for new tires. Never again

We have 4 cars. This is the only one with run flats, and the only one that has needed a single tire replaced in the last 5 years. Twice.

It’s a lease that goes back in 60 days. Never again.

I get lots of random objects in my tires. Thought it may be good. I can’t believe the come standard on some cars

They’ve been standard on most BMWs for over 10 years. I suppose it saves weight, but by the time you buy 4 tires you could have bought 4 regular tires and a donut for the same or less $.

It can’t save that much weight. The ones I had were really heavy. I could feel the effects on acceleration and braking. Didn’t like rotating them either.

Then I’ve got nothing really.

Just dumb.

Is your X3 a 35i?

My dad has one, a 2014 M sport and he replaced the run flats with Khumos and just hopes to not get a flat, and carries some fix-a flat as well.

We are playing a constant game of “what to replace it with” because It does everything so well, but he gets bored with cars. We are thinking Golf R, 330i wagon, or allroad.

Wise choice.

My wife’s is on a lease that ends in 1 month. She’ll probably go back to Lexus in reality.

Meanwhile I have a Lexus that goes back in May, no clue what I’ll get, but if it’s a BMW, I will not get run flats. Period.

I really like this one. Enough that I came very, very close to getting an X1, but decided that my first car should be a stick and went with my VW Golf.

Agree on the stick! Enjoy that while they’re still around!

My wife does not like the X3 - she’s thrilled to see it go. It has been perfectly reliable though, other than tires, and I actually like it. It’s just a personal preference for her.

He’s owned a lot of stuff, lots of euro metal, but this is by far the best. Ski trips, trips to Pittsburgh 4 times a week, going to the beach, to the mountain house and race tracks. It has conquered it all.

Ours is a good car, too. That engine / transmission combination is fantastic. And I’m convinced that it has more horsepower than advertised. My car weighs the same and supposedly has the same horsepower, yet it’s noticeably slower than the X3.

BMW underrates HP a lot. I think it’s got more too, I think maybe 320-330 ish. I feel that it’s a guys car. My mom, who’s had an S40, Jetta, and Legacy, hates the thing. The M sport wheel and seats are too thick for her. And she still doesn’t get the shifter.

If your wife is anything like my mom, she might like an S60 Cross country or Audi A3 E-tron. When my mom gets rid of her Rouge company car when she retires those are the cars we are looking at.
