Kinja'd!!!

. . . who hates BMW’s interior design?

Kinja'd!!!

With the exception of the i3 (two-spoke steering wheel!) they all look incredibly samey and unattractive.

It’s like they said, ‘this’ll do’ and just never came back to it.

Their design on interiors has really gone downhill.

With exceptions for the M2, i8, 1series and maybe i3.... I’d say the exteriors are much bigger problems than the interior for modern day BMW

BMWs issue is it relies too much on asymmetrical aspects. The gear shift and Idrive control in the first one for example. It’s a mess. Too many conflicting angles and shapes. The upright going up and over into the dash is singular but has structure to the left of it. The i3 has just the structure portion and not the weird upright piece so it looks much better.

E63evolves nicely

I do agree that the i3 interior design looks nice.

The new Accord has a nicer interior than a 5 series.

I loved the teutonic, functional, good ergo BMW interiors of the 80's/90's up to Idrive...

I hate all interiors with the “tablet” screen. It is fucking terrible
