A Nissan Micra wouldn’t normally count as a unicorn....but in NYC it does!

Will North America, okay lets be honest, Canada, will Canada be getting the new Micra?

It’s much better looking and probably the only Nissan I wouldn’t mind having.

On a car that is fast, sure. Good looking, well it’s nice. Practical, nope. Comfortable, not exactly comfy.

New Nissan Micra.

Probably because it’s a Renault underneath. That makes it more attractive, more mainstream in a good way I guess. Not the combination of generic and Japanese-weird that some other Nissans had. Current other Nissans are too, well, meh. Decent cars that don’t stand out in any way.

Most competitors tend to have some feature that can help motivate a potential buyer to prefer that car. Not Nissan though. Except maybe the Juke.

Nope (at least not for now). Australia isn’t getting it either. I’m assuming that it isn’t coming to Canada because the new Micra is more expensive, and the whole “cheapest car in Canada” thing wouldn’t be a selling point.

In the U.K. they discounted the old gen Micra quite heavily (about £3,000) then brought in the new gen for slightly more than the previous model.
