It didn’t look anywhere near as crazy as the FP made it out to be, but I presume they needed a bit of weather cooperation, especially on departure, and got it?

The WaPo has a good write up about it. Much less breathless than the FP. Sounds like a team victory. I’m sure there were a lot of people on that flight happy to make a clean getaway.

Agreed, that was a great flight and I doubt the foresaw the media attention they have gotten from this act.
Delta has become my favorite major. I guess I don’t classify Alaska as a major but I fly Alaska when I can too, free beer on flights from SEA to FCA, can’t beat that.

Only thing I can think of (besides reporters) is people who need to be there to take care of their own family through the storm.
If my son was there (he’s 1), I’d haul ass back down to be there.
