What are you coming from?

In my experience BMWs are engineered to be fixed, unlike anything else I’ve ever owned (Toyota, Chevrolet, Mazda, Toyota again, Nissan, Cadillac, Buick, Cadillac again) that seemed the engineers didn’t even think about it once.

It’s not mine (unfortunately), it’s a customers.

I’m just used to rear access for bulbs, which has become more of a pain in the ass as cars get smaller and we stuff more shit into them. Finding a component designed for ease of service was, honestly, surprising.

Preach! My E46 was a maintenance nightmare, but dammit it was at least easier to repair.

I love it when people think of future service. I think the late model Honda Pilot for example has a cast in piece to keep the nut from turning so you only need one wrench to undo calipers to replace pads. Super fast.

honestly i dont mind if you have to remove the headlight assembly to change a bulb, my cobalt is 2 bolts but yeah removing the entire bumper is a PITA for such a simple job
