Seriously we shut down a construction job near Spokane due to the smoke. The wind is supposed to shift later in the week and clear thinks out a bit.

It’s not just the smoke from Montana. No matter which way the wind shifts we’re going to get smoked. Right now it’s coming from the north and it hasn’t gotten even slightly better.

There was ash all over the cars this morning, then again this afternoon... I’ve never seen ash fall like this in the Seattle metro area.

Washed skylights only to see a fresh coat of ash within two minutes. Here’s hoping people start canceling, working in this stuff is nasty.

This smoke is awful. I would love another 9+ months of near-constant rain, please.
It just keeps getting denser, too. I’m outside right now and it is obvious from the street light just how heavy it is. There’s ash on everything, too. It was coming down like snow much of the day...

Some are claiming it is like when Mount St Helen erupted. That was apparently quite impressive.
What’s funny is that I didn’t even see ash this bad even with heavier smoke when I lived in SoCal and could actually see the wildfires from my windows (I was almost evacuated, had bags packed and everything).
