This evening on W. 78th ... which is more likely to start, the AllRoad or the Peugeot?

Because rustholesareweightreduction is probably asleep, I’ll answer in his name: the 505. Which is why he sold his Audi and has 7 505's together with his father. ;)

Only because it’s one of the new faux Allroad, the Allroad.
For now.

The 505 for sure. There’s a reason those things had second (and third and fourth) lives as taxis in Africa.

The 505 might as well be a tank. They are actually pretty hard to kill (see African taxis) though parts are completely non existent in the US.

I know this thing moves, because I’ve seen it parked everywhere from 74th St. to 78th ... maybe I’ll run into the owner one day, then I can ask

The sedan was produced from 1979 until 1989, so make that 28-38 years old.

There’s a 505 by me that I first recall seeing over 5 years ago. It still works!

How often does that pairing happen? Someone here pointed out the the AllRoad is a later generation than the problem ones.

To be honest, I don’t know much about the allroad. I had a 2007 A4 with a 1.9 tdi, and all engine problems they can have with less than 100.000km. I fixed everything, drove it for a while, and sold it to a friend, we’re still friends, the car still runs

Apparently the gen 1 was highly unreliable - I don’t know about subsequent cars.
