I think it is now the Staff and community counter just above the replies. Segregation.

It was too practical, so it had to die. Just like seeing in the notifications which of your replies had been promoted was too practical. Because Kinja.

I think it’s to spread clicks? For example, if you scroll past a post with 60 replies, your curiosity is much more likely to get the better of you than if come across one with say one reply.

I hope it’s a bug and not a ploy to get us to click on every damn article and and post to see if there are replies.
If the latter is the case, we’ll have to make some noise. That is an unacceptable feature to take away in the name of clicks.

The reply counter shows up for me on all posts that were posted more than 16 hours ago - the screenshot above shows the divide for me.
