Had a little night time photo session for my beat up Honda. Props to my buddy Wayne aka “Corkscrew’d” on Oppo for making this thing look as good as it does here.

This car would be amazing with a J30+6MT

But H22a4 is so gooood. The only swap I’ll consider for this is a D15.

Incredible, a stock-looking Prelude. Are you in the Bay Area?

I’m not sure if you’d pass emissions, but an H23A VTEC is a wonderful swap that bolts right in. I put one in mine and it’s absolutely fantastic.

Even more rare, it’s a 90s Milano Red Honda with paint that hasn’t faded to pink.

Nice, I’m down in SJ. There are a few more Bay Area Oppos than I had thought.

Yeah that seems to be THE swap everyone talks about on the forums. It has a lower redline and more torque for the same horsepower. I wouldn’t mind it but whats the point exactly?

The peak torque is a little higher, yeah, but it has noticeably better mid-range power.

Whats the interior trunk space like on these? And you think a roof rack could be mounted to a non-sunroofed model? Id think about removing the back seat to increase storage space and make it quite a practical fun daily.

Thanks for the shout-out dude!

If anyone else in the Bay Area wants their picture taken and prints made, let me know!

The rear can fold fairly flat and the trunk space is generous. I’d say about 6 kirkland signature bath tissues would fit in the trunk alone. And I think all 5th gens came with sunroofs.

Mmm damn sunroofs! I already have a convertible that leaks I dont need another leaky roof lol. My main point is that I have to fit 2 sets of skis and a passenger in any vehicle I get. I dont care much for AWD and my Miata currently fits the description for capability so I dont need some huge truck or some shit.

Have you considered the 350Z? I have been looking at them recently as the perfect DD to my weekend Miata. They’re super cheap now and a fun, GT kind of sports car. Don’t get a car with 4 doors and a back seat when you’re in your 20s man. You have the rest of your life for that. I mean sure there’s some cool cars with 4 doors and big back seats but you could have that in the future when you’re a dad.

Get the 350Z. It hits all your requirements and can fit a roof rack.

Probably around 8k, a bit over 100k miles, nice colors like that pearl white or the orange, blue, or yellow.

RWD, LSD, hydraulic steering, direct linkage shifter, no electronic useless stuff except for that stability control that can be turned off, can sound really good, lots of low end grunt power, smaller than anything else on your shopping list.

Kinja'd!!!

I did drive a 370z and thought it was nice. The problem is that it wasnt anymore practical than the Cayman I drove as well and it kind of had the same feel to it (albeit the Porsche was a lot nicer lol). So I kind of feel like I would want to save up more and get that Cayman S I dream of. But then I would not want to take it to a ski mountain because its too nice haha.

It isnt a bad idea though. You make a good point about not needing something practical. Having 2 doors is definitely something that I want. Thats kind of why I really like the GTI, you can get the small hatchback with 2 doors. I will find out when I drive the rented one next week.

Seeing as driving to ski mountains do this, I need to at least not worry about getting it dirty:
