From the looks of it there won’t be any WEC event between June 2019 and May 2020. So there’s a 1 and a half season, before season 2020/2021 gets on, starting in October 2020 and ending in June 2021.
Hopefully something good comes out of all those changes and plans.

They are changing to have LeMans be the last race of the season, but instead of cancelling Spa and LeMans next year so they can do the calendar shift they’re counting both the 2018 and 2019 runnings into one single championship season. In short if they keep the same schedule for the 2019-2020 season it would start again in October with the 6 Hours of Fuji.

After Le Mans 2019 they go to Fuji and the season starts repeating from there. The off season each year is from June to October.

There’s also rumors that they may add Silverstone back in September 2019, for the 2019/2020 season.

I see. Well, Toyota is in good position to score two Le Mans wins in one year, without real opposition. But something tells me that that’s not how they want their first victories to be like.

I honestly expect them to leave at the end of the year. On the plus side though it looks like if they can walk the walk after talking the talk we should be getting Peugeot and McLaren in LMP1 in the near future.
