You are in for a treat. This car is the perfect old mans car. It is very docile and a comfy GT when turned down. But switch to sport mode....and it turns into a slightly edgier old man’s GT car still.

That’s what I did last night... set it to Efficient/Comfort/Comfort.
It also made the DCT really jerky though, still tweaking to find the right balance.

It’s almost worth the reduced (almost non-existent) brake dust to spring for carbon ceramics.

Or, an even more wallet friendly option, just put a ceramic coating on your wheels.. there are coatings that can literally be applied in less than a minute per wheel. Brake dust just rinses off right after.

I doubled down with the R8. Ceramic coating on the wheels and CCBs, I’m about to was the wheels for the first time since buying the car in February and they really don’t need it. Crazy what we’ll do to keep from having to wash all those spokes.

Good choice. Which ceramic coating did you go with? Looking into getting one/applying one myself on the entire car. I always hate how dirty it looks in DC winters. Would be nice to keep it protected.

Modesta. They even applied it over the full clear bra. I was skeptical when the shop offered it but it really works. Modesta also made a leather treatment, my wife’s jeans bleed like crazy but with the coating the stain wipes off with a damp microfiber towel. Highly recommend.

I’m certainly going to look into the leather treatment.. the leather seats in my car are this off-white color that look amazing when clean, but not so sharp when they get dirty. The rear seats look amazing since no one sits there, but my drivers seat and armrest have seen better days.. gonna give it a good clean and see about that treatment. Thanks! Hope you’ve been enjoying the R8.
