I saw this on the other day, it was rough, looked like a project that started with the engine and is being driven. I am an E Type snob because it shares so much in common with the Zs, started out great and then was slowly ruined by regulations. I hate later E lights as much as 280Z bumpers. In the beginning I guess Nissan didn’t even try to get the light covers for the USA though, I have never heard why that was. Do you know what year that ruined the headlights for cars, I assumed early 70's since the Ferrari Daytona had to change as well.

All I remember is the Series 3 had awful hubcaps. I thought that might be S2?

Looks longer than an S2 to me, plus the big rubber bumpers scream ‘1970s’ to me. I also think you can just make out the lower chrome surround of the front grill in the second picture, and the size of that would make it a 3.
I do reserve the right, however, to be totally wrong.
