Overall, it has been a bad week. Among other things, yesterday afternoon one of my best employees, a bright young attorney, called me.
The guy who runs an industry association that I have supported from its start called my employee and basically said that he knew about the controversies that surround me, and wanted my employee to agree that I am a piece of shit.
I have known this guy for 15 years, and he never once asked me my side of the story before reaching his own conclusions. That stung.
I called him and chewed him out for putting my employee in an impossible situation, and for not having the balls to confront me. This has set off a bunch of shit I don’t want to deal with.
We are strapping the Vespa to its trailer on the back of the QX60 and heading for the coast.
Hey CaptDale, I could use that beer we discussed.
