Massa hasn’t announced a departure from Williams, just that he wants to go to Formula E when he does. It still sounds like he is going to be in F1 through 2018.
If I was Alonzo I would be pressuring McLaren to get a car in Indycar for 2018 (they have been talking about a full season entry starting in 2019). Run in competitive hardware (likely an Andretti or maybe one of the many open cars at Ganassi) for a year with the option to jump back into the F1 car in 2019.
