Stopped by to take a couple pics on my way home of these houses where a couple significant people crawled (were pushed sorry) out of a uterus a long time ago.

Name one other spot with two historic saltboxes that close together.

thats probably about as hard as finding another person that could identify those, and know what a saltbox is.

Sweet, out here we have Grant’s Farm which is the estate of the Busch (beer) family, apparently he lived there after the war. Clydesdales used to be across the street before InBev buyout.

My union will have summer picnic there, free beer & food soon.

Meh, I like early American architecture. Such a tasteful palate cleanser after all the flimsy McMansions cluttering the suburbs today.

Grant as in President Ulysses S Grant, and front fence made from civil war gun barrels. (That’s what they told us on field trips in elementary school)

The earlier response don’t really clarify the Presidential status.

It is a cool place, I’ll do a write up in late September of the picnic.
