I’ve actually always liked Elantras of this generation - this was the time in Hyundai’s past where their quality started to go up in leaps and bounds. A friend had a 2004 Elantra sedan - I learned to drive stick on it a few times. :)
How much work will this one need?

It needs an oil change, plugs, and air filter first. Also the wheels are getting surface rust, so I will clean and paint them, then get new tires. When I take the wheels off I will inspect the suspension and brakes. It is much more enjoyable to drive then my wife’s Saturn, and it is nice to have my own car again.
