Finished work this morning, as our store was closed I ventured down the road to another for some lazy/ready meal food. Don’t judge me, I was hungry and tired.
Got a bottle of Guinness Milk Stout, very pleasant.
The steak ragu pasta was okay, filled a gap.

I use the milk stout in my Irish stew, tastes like heaven. Give it a try.

I’ve just got to the bottom of another long neck of home brew stout. It went wonderfully well with some German style sausages from the Barossa Valley, Polish sauerkraut with apples and some Mallee spuds. And now someone has opened a nice bottle of red wine...

Against regular Guinness, very different.
It’s more akin to Guinness Original. The foamy yet not smooth head dies quickly leaving a flat dark liquid. It’s quite bitter initially with an almost burnt flavour on the tongue yet flows smoothly down the throat with no bitter aftertaste.
Has a strong chocolatey flavour. Definitely wil drink more.

Old bedroom faithfuls. One Torch gets used as an alarm, the other gets used for reading in bed while my Classic is being charged.

Guinness are bringing out new stuff quite often. The same store sold Guinness Antwerpen, but they don’t sell it any longer so I’m going to have source some elsewhere.
